Qikit is a messaging app to revolutionize English writing. Instead of pointless extra letters for many sounds, we provide a letter for each sound to make writing intuitive, as it should be. Qikit will make faster reading and writing as well as faster learning for new learners. It’s better for everyone. The sounds are written on the keys for easy learning. Suggestions for spelling and translation will show as you type. 3 years to develop, but always focused on being simple to learn. The Qikit app accepts traditional words or Qikit words, or both interchangeably. We even provide 39 shortcuts for commonly used words where you put in the appropriate single letter with a space and it writes the full word for you.
A special letter ᴥ, has been added that can be used to replace uncertain vowels and unstressed vowels. Using ᴥ to denote unstressed vowels helps pronunciation as well as assuring the word is not misspelled. All clearly sounded vowels are easy to distinguish, and will be used as they sound.
Phonics is the relationship of a sound to a visual symbol and eliminating multiple letters for single sounds is the key. One letter for each sound is the foundation of practical written communication. Qikit True Fonix™ is a straightforward English spelling system, and it enables a writer to easily spell a spoken word, and enables a reader to easily pronounce a written word.
