FishTales - A Fishing Log Book and Journal(圖1)-速報App

**** Named favorite fishing journal app for iPhone by iMore.com - March 11, 2014 ****

FishTales is the fishing journal and log book you've been waiting for. There is an old saying that says, “Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat the failures of the past.” FishTales enables you to recall the past and take maximum advantage of your own historical record. Over time you will create a database of caught fish sortable by lure, location, date or a combination of key factors. FishTales is far more than a diary. It is a powerful tool to guide current methods based on past performance!!

Put this app on any of your iOS devices and head out to the water. As you catch fish, use FishTales to log each catch. Date, time, location, and the current weather conditions are automatically recorded each time you add a new entry. From there you can take a photo of the fish and log any information you think is important – the water temperature, the depth of the water, or the depth of the catch. Naturally you'll want to log what lure you caught the fish with. We've expanded on a simple text field to try and describe your lure. We've included a virtual tackle box to catalog all your lures. Take a photo of every lure in your box, then name it how you like. We've included three different fields along with the picture to catalog your baits. As you catch fish, simply pick the lure you've used from the wheel and the fish is automatically logged against that bait. We keep track of every fish caught by every bait in your virtual tackle box. Whenever you look inside your tackle box, you will instantly see which baits have caught you the most fish.

Another valuable feature of FishTales is the ability to visually see all of the fish you've caught on any given body of water that you've fished. With our Quick Pick feature, select the Location tab at the bottom to bring up all of the waters you've fished. Tap any specific location listed to bring up every catch you've made there in table form. Tap the map icon at the bottom to bring up the map of the location along with a pin for every fish you've caught there. If you've got an iPhone, the GPS coordinates for every catch are automatically generated whenever you enter the catch. If you have an iPad or iPod Touch, the device will grab the best available location from either the cell towers or nearby WiFi. If you're fishing out in the sticks, you can manually enter the location of your catches when you get back to civilization. Just jot down a note in the notes section to remind yourself where the fish was caught (ex. - by the old stump off the point) then go back to the catch, find your lake on the map, hold your finger on the spot where you caught the fish. A pin will drop on your finger and automatically generate the GPS coordinates for you. If you have a separate handheld GPS device, you can also manually enter the coordinates if that suits you.

We also have a powerful search feature built in to let you find any catches you're interested in. Enter specific dates, location, lure, or fisherman in any combination you want then search away. FishTales will find your catches for you, so you can brag or research.

Speaking of bragging, we've included Facebook and Email sharing directly from the app. Find any catch you're particularly proud of, then share it with your friends.
