Al Quran Ayat Messenger: This app sends regular notifications on your device so that you can read through the next Ayat (Verse) in the sequence. This would help you to complete the reading of Al Quran Al Kareem, while you work through your busy days of life. And this app also sends a daily inspirational Quote from the holy book . No data/texting service is used for primary functioning of the app.
Each Verse is followed by translations in the languages chosen by you.
So the basic aim is to "read and understand verse by verse, as a habit".
The app also comes with a multi-purpose search and a screen capture option (for sharing).
NOTE: Next Ayat notification will be sent only after current notification is read. Cancelling the current notification would require you to launch the app and read that Ayat , so as to resume getting notifications.
Features of the App:
1. Home Page:
1.1 Set how many notifications you want to receive in a day. Reading 18 Ayat in a day would help you complete the book in a year. If you want to read more than 48 verses per day then it is recommended to use the 'Read' option (1.4) below. App would still remind you to start from the next verse.
1.2 Chose Translation languages from among the list. This version is primarily for North America and Indian sub- continent.Hence the available languages are English, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Malayalam and Tamil.
1.3 Daily quotes would be sent at 10:05 AM every day
1.4 Read button is provided for navigating to 'Reading Page'
2. Reading Page: This page is for verse by verse reading. You would be guided to this page via notification or by clicking on ‘Read’ button on the Home page.
2.1 Capture and Share: This would capture the screen and save the photo to your album. You can share the photo with your friends and family using any of the social media sharing platforms
2.2 Search : This is a multi-purpose search. Here:
2.2.1 you can search for translated (English) word
2.2.2 Search for a particular verse by entering Sura number:Verse Number: for e.g. type 2:15: for Sura No.2 and Verse No.15
2.2.3 Search for all verses of a Sura by just entering Sura number:, for e.g. type 2: to get all the Ayat of Sura No.2
2.3 Visit for Audio (optional) : This would launch a full size window where you can play the audio of the Ayat. This is the only option in the App that requires internet (data).
2.4 Next Button : Use this button for navigating to the next verse (Ayat). Each next/previous movement on reading page is recorded as your last read verse and app would automatically guide you to the next verse when you launch it next time
3. Surah name list (on top center) : Use this list to go to the desired Surah. Using this option on the reading page, will mark the selected Surah as the one that you are reading currently
4. Quotes Page: You would be guided to this page only through 'Al Quran Quote of the day' notification. This page has all the options that are there on 'Reading Page'. However actions on this page are not recorded, hence this is the best place for you to research through.
