StarChat provides anywhere and anytime messaging, location sharing and safety features:
- it is designed primarily for use with satellite connected smartphones, tracker devices and multi mode smartphones.
- it allows users to exchange instant text messages, files and audio messages like most messaging apps today.
- it allows users with satellite connected smartphones to send and receive messages via satellite anywhere in the world.
- user can setup safety profiles (for work or life) and assign some of their contacts to these safety profiles and share their location for safety monitoring. This is optional and use can turn safety profiles ON and OFF at any time.
- users can setup emergency contacts and if they trigger an emergency (or push the emergency button on their satellite connected device), their location and emergency messages will be forwarded to their emergency contacts, and to our 24/7 international emergency and rescue service.
- premium features include Push To Talk service over cellular, Wifi and VHF or UHF mobile radio to allow users to talk in real time over group channels.
