DITCH IT,
The best way to buy and sell your marine gear,
DitchIT is an app which helps crew buy and sell their gear among each other. The app uses the location of the user to show them what’s available for sale in their vicinity.
The app is much better suited to selling industry-specific gear such as scuba-diving equipment, water toys, and engine parts. Until we launched DitchIT, there was no way for crew to buy or sell general items and marine equipment with.
As well as providing an online marketplace between crew, DitchIT lets users upload their CV to get in front of prospective employers, and lets those employers advertise the positions they have available. The DitchIT app also provides a listing service for landlords to advertise their rental accommodation. With the exception of a 5% commission charged to sellers on a successful sale, all of the app’s features are entirely free to use.
DitchIT will become the indispensable companion app for crew. The goal is to make a one-stop shop for superyacht workers who are in between jobs and accommodation, or simply in need of new gear.
