Murmur allows voice calls between groups of Bluetooth LE capable devices.
Multiple connections between devices create a mesh network, allowing group voice calling and location sharing for up to 16 participants.
The network allows signals to be relayed between devices, allowing the range to far exceed that of a single Bluetooth connection when used in a group.
Outside, Bluetooth 4 has a range up to 100m. If a pair of handsets both support Bluetooth 5 Long Range however, this improves to 400m. This gives Murmur group calls a potential range of up to 1500m between Bluetooth 4 devices, and up to 6km with Bluetooth 5 Long Range.
Murmur supports Bluetooth hands-free kits, making it ideal for cyclists, skiers, climbers, hikers or any group activity taking place without reliable cell-tower reception.
