Octopus Watch bring Agile Octopus rates from the Octopus Energy supplier to your wrist, iPhone, and iPad. The app is useful for Octopus Energy customers on the Agile Octopus rate, those willing to switch to Octopus Energy or the Agile Octopus rate, or those users who wish to explore whether Agile Octopus is the right choice for them.
Agile Octopus is a revolutionary new rate for electricity where the prices track the wholesale prices of electricity. Octopus Watch makes it easy to keep track of these prices by showing them to you at a glance through its beautifully designed complications.
Want to know more about past and upcoming rates? Open up the app and tap the current rate to see a scrollable graph of all the known upcoming rates. Want to save big by running appliances when rates are cheap? Tap the slot button, flick the digital crown to set the slot time you are interested in (e.g. 3h) and Octopus Watch immediately tells you for how many hours to set the timer on the appliance.
Want to know if you are saving? Agile Octopus customers can provide the app with the API information from the Octopus Energy dashboard. Information on how to do so is available in the app and on the support website. When you provide the API information Octopus Watch can retrieve your consumption data and tell you how the prices you are paying compare to the standard tariff employed by Octopus Energy.
Version 2 brings a lot of improvements to make the base app better, as well as the ability to subscribe to get access to some amazing new features. The app integrates tightly with information provided by National Grid to show you both national and regional CO2. You can even plan your usage to minimise your carbon footprint! Or how about seeing the future rates before they become available? Thanks to rate predictions you get access to rates up to 48h in advance. Want to know if Agile is still right for you, or have a deep look at your usage? Thanks to an automatic in-depth analysis you can now get a birds-eye view of your usage on Agile, all summarised for you in one easy to use report.
Octopus Watch integrates tightly with iOS/iPadOS. Customise how you use the app by setting up the widget, or using the Siri Shortcuts to communicate with the app using your voice.
