Pressvue is a system of self-expression that is unique within the social networking arena. Members can also write stories about various topics and other members will be allowed to respond to these published stories. Participants will have the opportunity to rate all stories and, as a result of our ratings system, top members and their respective stories and/or surveys(future implementation for surveys) will be given special recognition. Users of our app can view surveys created by other members. Currently, our laptop versions have a survey creation features, which will be implemented in our app in the near future. These are two unique features that are not presently prevalent within social media, and it serves to raise the quality of interpersonal interactions in comparison to that which is presently available on the more popular social networking sites. In addition, this app will soon add an internal messaging system which will further facilitates interaction between members regarding stories and surveys, and it features a compensation plan which rewards top members for high quality content. Most of these features are already implemented in our web version at www.pressvue.com
A GPS system will also be included in our future development, a certain set of criteria including location and a commonality of interests, as well as notifying members of sales and promotional offers from stores within a given mileage radius. Additional exciting features include a “Thought of the Day” section where members are allowed to post their thoughts of the day. Both our website and our app shares a common database for allowing easy mobile-to-laptop transition, given user a seamless experience. Another feature implementation of the mobile application is to also allow Pressvuers to meet new people (suggested friends) based upon a commonality of characteristics and interests and similarity in survey and story creation and participation.
