Selfies don't look "right"? This app can fix it!
Skin tones are some of the hardest colors to match, and, the often difficult lighting conditions in which you take a selfie (or a small group pic) make it hard for the camera to get it right.
This simple app can make your selfies, portraits, and group pictures look "right". It makes some adjustments to your picture (either from the camera, or, from your Photo Library) to make the skin look much more real.
The app couldn't be easier to use - no sliders, selections, or other complicated stuff. Snap your pic from the built-in camera, or, select a picture from your Photo Library. Most often, the app will "find the skin". If not, simply put the box the comes up over some skin, say, from the cheek. Fill the box with skin, and you're done! You can then save the result back to your Photo Library (your original is still there).
In some cases, if you took your picture under really good conditions, the adjustments will be quite minor (say, you took your pic outside, in an open space, with clouds diffusing the sunlight). The more difficult the lighting, the bigger the changes will be, and the final picture much improved!
BetterSelfie is an offshoot from work we've been doing to create an app to help you choose colors (say, for clothing) that matches the colors of your skin, eyes, and hair. We thought this a pretty neat way to get some of our proprietary technology out and let anyone improve the look of their pictures of people!
