The Product
Hey is a chat created to discuss any trending topic on the internet. On the app you can see the most popular hashtags from other social networks and from Hey itself.
The Trending screen features the top 3 most active hashtags on the internet. It's also there you'll search for users, chatrooms, sites and hashtags.
The Conversation screen lets you do just that: chat with your classmates, people you know or people you just met.
The Subscription screen is there to quickly access your favorite gaming, crypto or even school-related chat rooms. There is also a historic of other community chat rooms you recently visited. You can simply search and subscribe to chatrooms related to any topic you like - or trending topics you want to discuss.
The Notification screen contains your most recent activities and how people interacted with you on Hey. This is a good place to know how you're doing, if you gain crypto ERC20 tokens, if your classmates shared interesting news, if fellow gamers got more active or if you posts got popular.
The Profile screen displays the number of Karma you have, number of people you are following and the number of people following you. Karma represents the token you receive periodically - the crypto rewards -, those transactions are stored on our public blockchain block explorer. This is also the place where you can visit other people's profiles and interact with them.
On Hey, you receive ERC20 tokens when you post valuable content and help follow classmates, gamers or cryptomaniacs. We are in fact a crypto startup. When you register you receive a crypto wallet but if cyrpto is not your thing, you can of course use Hey as a social network, it doesn't have to be your crypto hub.

That's why we created Hey—a platform that provides undisturbed access to your peers and is built on transparency. Hey adds a top layer to the Internet onion, functioning as an extension on users' browsers that nestles into the right side of each web page and as an app that let’s you chat everywhere. The platform is a place to share ideas, advice, and insight. For example, to comment openly on available products and discounts accessible elsewhere, find help from fellow developers, or warn virtual friends of site scams. The major bonus: Hey can't be removed or edited by site owners themselves or hashtag creators, so your input will never be altered or erased based on their agendas. The only time anything gets amended is when it's deemed harmful to the health of the platform—hate speech and its foul friends—by other users. Even then, there are tools in place to minimise the risk of misreporting.
We take democracy to the next level, incorporating a reward and referral system as well as karma points accrual in order to redistribute value to the users who create it. Power to the people? Yeah, that, and then some profit to the people.
