This augmented reality application is accompanying paintings from the exhibition called "ISHONI?". This exhibition is the very first joint exhibition of Iveta Hanková and Jakub Volka. When translated from Japanese, the name means ‘together‘. The question mark signifies the extent that the individual paintings were affected by each of the artists.

In Iveta’s work, the influence of lomography and Japanese calligraphy is noticeable. Jakub, who is also a photographer and an architect, brings elements of architectural design into the common creation. The whole exhibition (as the name suggests) is inspired by Japan and its minimalism. Part of the exhibition is an audiovisual component which focuses on the creation process by the couple, as well as augmented reality which reveals the hidden secrets of the individual paintings.

Just as the Japanese masters‘ calligraphy captures words, the couple’s paintings create twin dialogues of moments. Their images are layered strokes, in which each symbolizes the moment of choice. The pieces are created gradually as they sprinkle over time; similar to a clock that is constantly rotating during a chess match. The basic principle of this matter, is the transfer of continuity until the movement developed by the mixture of techniques becomes mutual. The benefits of interacting with the other, deepening the knowledge, and understanding are transferred to the visual aspect. When one makes a move, the other responds, altering the original vision, and discovering a new form. By mutual improvisation, the technique of encountering the feelings of the other comes into being. The whole si then an imprint of the unanswered thoughts.

You need to have pictures of the paintings or see paintings on the wall.
