AN INTRODUCTION TO CCES & PASTOR JIM
Jim Etheridge has been a resident of Colorado Springs for over 49 years. He completed his Bachelor’s degree locally at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in history and pre-med. Previously, Jim was firefighter/paramedic with the Colorado Springs Fire Dept., an instructor at Pikes Peak Community College and a paramedic supervisor in the private sector.
God had a change of plans for Jim in 1984 and changed the direction of his life. In response to God’s call, Jim and his family relocated to So. Calif. in 1984 to attend Talbot Theological Seminary where he earned a three-year master’s degree (M.Div.) and served on staff with Pastor Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, CA.
In 1989 the days of preparation were over: Pastor Jim moved back home to start a new work on the eastside of Colorado Springs; Calvary Chapel Eastside was born Sept 10, 1989. But there is so much more to the vision God has given Pastor Jim; come in some time and hear it!
Pastor Jim and his wife Kathy have three children: Don , Luke and Jenny. They are here to serve the Body of Christ as the Lord leads and directs, and look forward to serving in partnership with you!
