This app can be used offline as well. Once installed, no internet connection is required.
This app consists of 4 Tabs, to display sight words as follows:
Tab 1: Dolch
The Dolch Word List is a list of frequently used English words, compiled by Edward William Dolch, PhD.
The list contains 220 "service words" which are non-nouns and a separate list of 95 nouns.
This list is divided into 6 categories: Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade3 and Nouns.
Tab 2: Fry
Dr. Edward B. Fry\'s Instant Words (which are also known as "Fry Words") are expanded on Dolch\'s sight word lists and consists of 1000 Instant Words.
These are divided into 10 Categories of 100 words each.
Tab 3: F & P
Fountas and Pinnell's - High Frequency Words.
These High Frequency Words are from Benchmark Assessment System which was developed by Fountas and Pinnell.
These words are divided in to 4 categories of high frequency words: 25 HFW, 50 HFW, 100 HFW and 200 HFW.
Tab 4: Create
Create your own list of sight words, enter a category name to assign a name to your list and add words to this list.
Create and delete unlimited lists/categories and words.
Add more words to your list each day and improve your vocabulary and pronunciation.
Delete Categories by long pressing a list/category name, if confirmed, it shall delete the entire list and its words.
Delete a word in the word list, by long pressing the word, if confirmed, it shall delete just that word from the list of words.
Examples to create your own list:
tch words: catch, match, hatch.....
e short vowels: net, set, get, tent, went, sent....
1 Syllable rhyming words: lime, prime, time, dime....
