TraCO2 is a mobile application that offers users to register their information along with their car information in order to calculate the exact kgs of carbon emissions produced when they drive their car from location A to location B. It also offers a real-time tracking of CO2 produced while they are driving so that to reflect prompt and accurate calculations of CO2.
The application will be available with the following functionalities:
1. Carbon emission tracking: the application prompts the amount of CO2 produced and user’s carbon counter will be incremented:
2. History trips; a page to sum up all history rides the user conducted along with carbon emission produced for each trip.
3. Carbon counter; accumulated carbon emission produced that can be illustrated for each trip, daily, weekly, monthly, annually.
4. Offset amount; the application calculates the offset amount needed (e.i # of trees to be planted) in order to induce the produced CO2.
Customized for specific corporate: A customized version of the application can be only used for its employees. The application can be easily integrated with the corporate database so that employees information is not hosted outside the corporate premises. The customized TraCO2 requires purchase to unlock its tremendous characteristics:
1. Empower the corporate to accurately calculate CO2 produced and later to encourage employees to offset it as part of the corporate social responsibility.
2. A webpage that is available for corporate admin to track employees emissions on spot, daily, weekly, monthly, and annually.
3. Set annual target for the corporate and incentive employees not to exceed it as part of corporate social responsibility.
4. Incentive employees by rewarding them based on each employee’s carbon wallet (according to corporate policies)
5. The ability to connect each employee’s carbon counter on screens via Bluetooth so that to compare between then and encourage them to adopt more environmental driving behavior to decrease their carbon counters.
6. A reminder for each employee to conduct green behavior as in planting number of trees determined by the offset counter in order to induce carbon emission produced.
