Children can learn new reading skills anywhere with Park Planet – part of the popular online Red Apple Reading program that children LOVE and parents APPROVE! Two park maps comprise a total of 76 lessons for ages 4 to 6, with instruction and practice in early phonics skills, blending and segmenting, short vowel sounds, word families, Fry's first 100 sight words, digraphs, blends, an intro to long vowel sounds, and a review of letter sounds in the ABC Tree.
Map 2 of Park Planet (this app) includes 25 phonics and sight word lessons, plus 5 unit reviews with storybooks and reward games! Look for Map 1 in the app store. Or, if you're looking for more advanced reading lessons, look for the Reading Island Adventures series.
