ASSOCIATION OF SINCERE PARENTS’ (ASSPA) previously Social Shelter Ghana is a non-profit organization established on the 26th of November 2013 with company registration number CG 076562013.
The then Social Shelter Ghana (SSGH) commenced here in Ghana through the initiative of Mr Peter Ocloo the Managing Director (MD) of Production Plus Ghana Limited in which providing shelter for the homeless was a priority among all his initiatives in order to lessen Streetism if not totally eradicated. Very determined to touch lives, the activities of the then SSGH was gradually focused on single parents who are finding it difficult to take care of their children.
The activities compelled the President and the board to change the name and rebrand the organisation’s activities, focusing on counselling couples, singles and the youth. They also stressed on the importance of creating an enabling environment for the enhancement of relationships based on his personal life experience, parenting (singles and couples) as well as reaching the poor and uniting people.
This also necessitated the involvement of a Board of advisers like Dr. Emmanuel Osei Acheampong, Mr. Tawiah Sasu, Miss Linda Godji, Mr. Ricky Anokye and few others, we are also in collaboration with Nana Brempong Ayimedu III’s foundation on a special initiative on HUMAN TRAFFICKING.
