With the majority of sport played without the ball or implement, there is a HUGE opportunity to increase human performance by widening the athlete development lens. We specialize in developing mental, physical and lifestyle skill sets that will serve as competitive advantages in sport and life.
The OFF-BALL APP is a structured human performance program using cutting edge movement programs, Olympian and pro athlete mentorship, state of the art breath training and lifestyle strategies designed to create champions in and out of sport. Our app is a game changer as we focus on OFF-BALL principles to increase human capacity. We make sure athletes maximize their personal preparation to be aware of and capitalize on every single opportunity.
OFF-BALL Principles – Mind/Body/Life
We widen and deepen any young athlete’s foundation by introducing them to conversations, exercises and philosophies that promote a more robust and resilient human being. Created and lead by 2012 Beach Volleyball Olympian, Nike Trainer, Movement Specialist and Canadian National Team Coach Martin Reader, the OFFBALL App is a purposeful strategy set to introduce, integrate and ingrain powerful personal traits into the daily lives of athletes. These traits or as we call them “virtues” will increase the possibility for excellence in sport and more importantly, in life.
OFFBALL App Features
- Being a part of the OFFBALL movement means you stand for something. This is NOT just another thing a young athlete has to do... This is a performance tool that will help athletes define themselves and empower them to strive in sport and life.
- Our unique daily check in serves as a great accountability tool for positive lifestyle habit shifts and life choices. The check in will progress over time to further educate, engrain and reward athletes for adopting life giving actions, self talk and intentions into their daily rituals.
- Weekly “OFFBALL Virtue” education and development for athletes to use as intentions within their practice. These virtues will amplify their training/sporting experiences while harbouring a deeper purpose beyond sport.
- A daily “positive proxy” will be shared through the app in the form or an audio or video file. These are specially curated and produced media bits from Martin Reader’s podcasts, interviews and research. This is the larger cultural picture of the
“OFFBALL Athlete” program and will expose subscribers to daily ideas, philosophies and concepts to support positive personal growth in and beyond sport.
- A daily movement practice that will train and enhance the human capacity. Curated by Olympian, Nike Trainer and movement specialist Martin Reader, these movements are fundamental movements uniquely pieced together from the following world class methods FRC, Foundation Training, Durability, Art of Breath, HIIT. They are scalable for anyone and can be done at home or before/after practice.

Full access to a database of instructional videos for
- movement practices,
- mental practices
- breathing practices
- visualization practices
Data Collection: Daily check in, positive proxy and movement completion data is
recorded.
Reporting: Team and individual reports are generated and archived within the
system. There is Club, Team, and Individual reporting.
Scheduling: Coaches administer team schedules which then auto-populate within
athlete profiles.
Nutrition: Advice from health and nutrition experts.
