KathaKhazana lets you spread the joy of reading at the comfort of your smartphone! A treasure trove for children of ages 4-12, the e-learning app consists of narrated stories, animated videos and immersive games. Unearth the treasure for a child in need. Volunteer to be a certified Katha Changemaker!
With this free EdTech app, you can take reading and learning outside the classroom and make it more enjoyable. The app’s user-friendly interface and Hindi language makes it possible for anyone to use it. With KathaKhazana, a child can:
-Read Katha’s meaningful stories, written for young Indian readers! They are packed with colourful illustrations in a child-centered design.
-Watch videos where stories come to life with captivating animations and narration, ensuring a child’s audio-visual learning.

KathaKhazana is Katha’s venture into technology-based pedagogy. Katha’s first storytelling app is a step towards creating a digitally literate nation. It is inspired by Katha’s core beliefs of:
-StoryPedagogyTM: Backed by three decades of research, KathaKhazana is based on Katha’s StoryPedagogyTM, with its focus on story as a creative, critical thinking tool
for learning. It promotes Active Story-Based Learning (ASBL), encouraging children to think, ask, discuss, and act.
-Each Child Teach a Child (ECTC): 50% of the 300m children in the country cannot read at grade level. Through ECTC, the one half that can read will teach the other half that cannot. So, every member of the community takes the responsibility of teaching a child to read.
