Jiguar app was developed by Dr. Jigisha Chaudhary, MD Pediatrics, F.A.A.P with contribution from Yichien Su MS CCC-SLP. Through their experience with children, the specialists realize the importance of early detection and intervention in the field of child development.
The app includes the Leaper questionnaires for the parents for identifying any developmental delays and concerns from newborns to five years of age (which is the most crucial age in brain development) and it includes the electronic health records portal Jigstar for all specialists in the field of developmental pediatrics.
Jiguar Leaper attempts to identify any delays in the child’s five major domains of development- Motor, Behavior, Social, Communication and Cognitive.
Key Features
Parents can add one or multiple child’s personalized information. The child’s pediatrician can also create the child’s profile for the parents to use for milestone tracking.
The parents and their pediatricians can both have access to the child’s Leaper questionnaire and monitor the child’s progress.
The pediatrician’s recommendation for the child is saved and can be viewed by the parent.
Parents can access to the future milestone checklist for the child.
The milestone questionnaire gets saved as a history and can be reviewed at any time .
The use of this app is NOT a substitute for the use of validated, standardized developmental screening tools as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Jiguar Jigstar is an electronic medical/health record portal that can be used by all specialists in the field of developmental pediatrics and available to child’s parents as well.
