Tricord-AR is an Augmented Reality Tricorder application. The basic Tricorder functionality includes compass, GPS, atmospheric pressure, ambient light, and magnetic field sensors. It then supports the ability to run pre-created scavenger-hunt events that involve scanning real world 2-D objects and interacting with them in various ways, such as seeing overlaid images, text, or videos, and optionally buttons to interact with them. One demo event is included, for which the real world images can be found at http://www.armidalesoftware.com/Tricord-AR. Other events can be unlocked using codes provided at conventions such as Norwescon 42. Potential event authors can contact the author to inquire about publishing their AR events as unlockable events.
