LA's Silver Lake Reservoir was drained last summer to comply with new federal drinking water rules that forbid open air reservoirs. Due to our recent surplus of rainfall LADWP has committed to refilling the reservoir ahead of schedule starting mid-April. The reservoir's future after being refilled; however, is still being decided.
