This is a tool for people who want to learn Hakka, an ancient Chinese language still being used today by millions of Hakkas (Guest Family), a major branch of the Han people. The database stores about 6,000 Chinese characters and 12,000 words, which includes short sentences and slangs.
This tool is designed to be very user friendly. The user can simply enter a Chinese character or choose a Hakka pinyin note from a list to start searching. For each character and word, this tool provides definitions, sample words, and most importantly, audio pronunciations.
This tool is not designed solely for the Hakkas people. It is a very conventional and powerful tool for those who study and research the history and culture of China. Hakka is the language that retains most of the Chinese history and culture of the past thousands of years.
