Machinist Calculator. Used for finding the location of features given 2 bore or feature center points. Work Zero is set on one feature, the other feature is measured. Nominal values are entered into the calculator. The angle to the measured feature is used to offset the other features which are themselves offset from nominal values to the Zero feature.
You got two bores and need to pop in another hole but don't feel like spending the next 3 hours trying to perfectly align the bores. Just clamp down the piece, set Zero on one bore and measure the location of the other. Add nominal values from the print and the location of four symmetrical features are calculated and displayed.
