Our doors opened in April 1970, shortly after John Lassiter was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. We remained in the same location until fall of 2004, when we moved to our current state-of-the-art facility at 3252 SE 29th Street. Even though the pharmacy started in the Gibson Discount Center which closed in 1988, John and his staff were able to move into an adjacent building and continue business as usual without interruption. Lassiter Drug was among the first Independent Pharmacies in Oklahoma to have an in-house, stand-alone pharmacy computer and we never looked back when adding new technology to assist patient care. The pharmacy still answers the telephone with real people, unless all lines are in use, in which case there is voice mail. The pharmacists are always available to patrons in the store or by telephone to answer any and all questions. Your prescriptions will be ready in a maximum time of 15-20 minutes, but most are ready in 5 minutes or less. Our Pharmacy Department is our #1 priority. While we have a large selection of general merchandise for our customers, we do not delay your prescription needs to have you shop throughout our store. In these days of technology and impersonal service, Lassiter Drug has kept the ultimate consumer-first mentality in our business.
