If your GPS can't find you or reports a significantly inaccurate location try this ad-free app. It will clear all GPS data which means your phone must temporarily rely on cell towers for location. Once all satellites are acquired again the accuracy should be much improved (normally this takes a minute or two ).
Optional handsfree mode: you can set the app to reset the GPS automatically when you launch it, which you can do by saying "OK google launch GPS Reset". So if your GPS goes haywire while driving you can fix it without touching your phone! I have used it successfully with my Samsung Galaxy S7 for exactly this problem.
