The application uses the "Global Forecast System" (GFS) from the "National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration" (NOAA) to depict the current tracking direction of an airplane to its heading direction with the predicted crosswind out of the forecast which is influencing its flight direction!
The data will be extracted from a pre-downloaded dataset which is set up for the desired geographical region and time of flight
Altitude range: Mean Sea Level to 100Pa (isobaric level).
This application was/is a bachelor project at the Institute of Computer Graphics of the Johannes Kepler University.

The viewed data are only forecasts! They do not represent the real weather conditions! It is not for navigation purposes. There will be no liability assumed for wrong data and visualization!
