The Doc-Track application is a digital pandemic surveillance system that can be used to ascertain the spread of Zika within communities. The system will utilize access to the internet and the convenience and portability of mobile phones to allow users to report symptoms of Zika. The application will also allow users to record their whereabouts during the reporting of symptoms, so as to allow healthcare professionals to track and predict possible outbreak regions. The real-time data gathered from the system will be of paramount importance to curbing the spread of Zika, and will serve as a pivot point for further surveillance of other diseases.
