A Classic Hide and Seek game for all ... with a twist - since it uses GPS. (This is NOT A VIRTUAL Hide and Seek game. This game is to be physically played with a group of really physically present friends... You just need to invite your friends over... ;)
An Excellent Physically Active Energetic Game for all the Family to enjoy on a Summer afternoon, a friends visit to your house or sleepover, during a Party or as a fun activity at school or in Youth Ministry. As with the Classical Hide & Seek it will keep all of you on the move...
Enjoyed by all... Young kids, Parents, Tweens, Teens, Youths, Teachers, Students, Youth Groups, Leaders, Animators, Youth Ministry, Parents and for all those who want to burn off some real calories while having fun with others! ... instead of sitting down infront of a screen with some virtual friends... :p
To be played in the nearby Woods, in a big Park, on a large Beach or even in a safe Neighbourhood.
TIP: Add the fun and energy for older teens by Riding BICYCLES to go around faster! (But do not allow riding the bike while using the smartphone)
WARNING: Make sure that the area to be played in is safe.
NOTE: This game is a continous work in progress. Graphics are still not polished but the game runs ok.
After signing in anonymously (without any confirmations) the user joins a team - Reds, Greens or Yellows. All game players must sign in using the same group name. Game to be played by 2 or more players.
When all the players are ready and connected, the members of one team are given some time to run away. When the agreed upon time elapses (you can enable in-game timers), the remaining 'it' team starts chasing the other. In-game chat included. The game finishes when one team manages to catch the other... first with the help of the GPS... then by really chasing them!
Since all players may be traced on their smartphones, there is no need to set up game boundaries! However, please check that the area is safe to play in.
PS. This application does not show any maps. In this way, players will be able to see their friends on screen, but they will not be able to figure out how they reached that point... maybe there is a building or a lake in between!
