With GRETA you can finally simply experience the movies. Now you can watch every film in every movie theatre, at any time, by yourself or with friends. We work on behalf of the respective distributors.
GRETA was specifically developed for all that want to independently use an accessible movie version. Great whispers the spoken film description for blind and visually impaired people, as well as the subtitles for deaf people.
How it works:
Download GRETA free of charge. After you have successfully downloaded the app, you select whether you prefer using the audio description or subtitles in the cinema. You can view the current movie releases every week that offer an audio description and subtitles. Select a movie of your choice and download the audio description or subtitles for free as well. The best and fastest way is to already do this at home or any other WiFi network before visiting the movie theatre.
Now you don’t have to do anything further besides activating the app at the movie theatre and selecting the corresponding movie. It is really easy: you simply press play on the desired movie title. GRETA takes care of the rest and you can lean back and relax. GRETA automatically recognizes the start of the film and then plays the audio description or subtitles in sync with the movie. That way, you can enjoy the audio description or subtitles with everyone else in one theatre hall. Please always switch your phone to flight mode while at the movies.
Of course you can pause GRETA at any time, the audio description or subtitles always automatically resumes at the right movie point. Sounds easy? It is!
