Khulduli is a mobile application developed by the National Health Education Information & Communications Centre (NHEICC) under the Ministry of Health, with support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) to provide information about sexual & reproductive health for adolescents and young people. Health for Life/USAID had participated in the app development process.
Following the onset of puberty, adolescents face many changes. Adolescence is a transition between childhood and adulthood; it is acknowledged that during this period adolescents may experience anxiety and uncertainty relating to their sexual and reproductive health. In Nepal, while many adolescents have access to a diverse range of information resources about sexual and reproductive health (e.g. friends, books, newspapers, and website), often their research is conducted in private. In some cases, the information they find may be inaccurate and out-dated. Therefore, this application (app) has been prepared with the objective to provide accurate information on sexual and reproductive health to adolescents and young people.
