Mzansi 9-9: an hour long reality show that seeks to find South Africa’s best “Travelopreneur”! A young, hype, social-media savvy tourism entrepreneur who does travel agency services, tour operations, destination marketing and is an influencer who excels as a tourism ambassador.
The show sees the cream of South Africa’s travel graduates and self-taught travel entrepreneurs pitted against each other in teams, learning the business of travel and tourism in a practical hands-on way through a series of challenges and subsequent eliminations.
Traditionally, the tourism industry has travel agents, tour operators and destination marketers. With the advent of social media and online platforms, this traditional model has been disrupted, giving birth to the Travelopreneur who changes the game completely!
A nation-wide call to entry will kick-start the series, starting with an online and marketing strategy leading to the selection of 1 contestant chosen per province. It’s going to be hard work, a test of creativity and relevance and an appreciation for one’s province and country!
