Namote is a simple application that that can switch the input and control the volume of a Naim Uniti streamer. Also has basic play / next / stop controls. This is known to work with Uniti / SuperUniti / Qute.
Naim Audio streamers, e.g. a Naim Uniti, allow control of playback of media from a DLNA UPnP server by using their n-Stream software (that is only available for Apple devices) or DLNA UPnP control points, such as BubbleUPnP. This works well for the most part, allowing you to select songs to play on the streamer from the comfort of your sofa, the streamer will switch to the UPnP input and start playing. The problem comes at the end of a listening session, when there is no way to switch the input back to what it was previously (e.g. TV). Namote fills this small gap in the process - allowing you to switch the input without having to find / reach for the infrared remote control.
Note that Naim streamers only allow one control device to be connected at any given time (e.g. n-Stream). If you get connection errors, ensure your device is the only one actively connecting to the streamer. This applies only to Naim controllers, multiple DLNA UPnP control points are okay.
Please also note that it is recommended only to use this application when using a wifi network connection, as it maintains a network connection to the streamer.
