Ranger is an All-in-One mapping and tracking application. It has multiple activities that are useful for all navigation and outdoor pursuits.
** Everything you need is in one place **
Comprehensive usage information is given in the "About" section for all of the included activities, and there is a comprehensive number of Settings for each activity.
COMPASS: This activity provides a stable compass and you can choose to point to True North or Magnetic North.
COORDINATE CONVERTER: For those who like working with maps, this activity allows accurate conversion of Latitude/Longitude in degrees, minutes, seconds; decimal degrees; Military Grid Reference System (MGRS) - United States National Grid (USNG); Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM); International Mapcode; Google Pluscode; Maidenhead Locator; British National Grid; Irish Transverse Mercator.
GPS STATUS: Not sure if the GPS is actually working on your device? This activity will give you detailed information on its actual performance. All Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are included, such as Navstar, Galileo, Glonass, Beidou, QZSS & Satellite Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS).
SPEEDOMETER: This activity shows speed in multiple units and also provides location, altitude and course over the ground - it also works in flight-safe mode, so you can try it out on aircraft.
TRACKER: This activity will allow you to store and share a track. Very handy for saving an off road hike or bike trail - you can share the files to work on later on your favorite mapping software.
TRACKER RETRACE: You can retrace your stored steps - this is aimed primarily at those who like to go hiking off-trail - you need never get lost again.
It's Totally Free! I've enjoyed creating this app and hope you find it useful. It's provided at no cost and is free from ads - if you like it, have any questions, find anything wrong, or would like to see any additions, just let me know.
