A podcast app that speaks to me.
Our aim is to make great podcast content more accessible to everyone, including those with a visual impairment. After a colleague lost his sight through a massive stroke we decided to create a podcast app that reads aloud the descriptions of the podcasts to the user so they can select podcasts without the user needing to see the screen. After much development we also came up with a super easy way to browse content by merely swiping the screen and an elegant screen design, making the app a great way to listen to podcasts for anyone, not just those who may have difficulty reading the screen.
Eloquodpod comes packed with a selection of interesting podcasts of all genres - and you can add your favourite podcasts as well.
We have deliberately kept the user interface simple and uncluttered and avoided adding unnecessary features. This aligns with our desire to make an app which is intuitive to use for everyone. Eloquodpod is simply just a great way for anyone to enjoy the podcasts you love.
FEATURES:
- Reads aloud the details of your current podcast selection, including details of the programmes and episodes you choose;
- Silently refreshes the podcast content in the background so you are always up-to-date;
- Streams podcasts, rather than downloading them in order to save space on your device (requires internet connection);
- Super easy user interface which can be navigated by swiping the screen;
- Descriptive text also allows you to easily browse descriptions of the latest episodes of your favourite podcast programmes;
- The app stops the screen from dimming or locking while it is being used (you can switch this feature on or off in the settings);

- NEW! - Scrub forwards or backwards using the controls on the lock screen;
