Coinoscope is a visual search engine for coins.
Coinoscope makes the coin recognition easy - just snap a picture of a coin with your phone camera and the app will show you a list of similar coins. Click on the coin to see additional information in the web browser of your phone. A must have tool for every coin collector and numismatist!
Tips:
- Center a coin before taking a picture
- Wait for the camera to focus
- Use zoom slider to increase/decrease the size of image
- If no similar coins are found, try to obtain sharper image by changing zoom, lighting conditions or the angle of phone camera
- Press "Save" to store your search results
- Click on Archive icon (top-right corner) to access your coin collection
