With this app:
1 - You protect your photos with an intricate watermark, which carries the acquisition conditions of the photo (onwership, date/time, location, notes). A clean copy of each photo is also saved.
2 - You automatically deposit each photo you shoot into the infoStain Online Photo Reference Database in order to claim onwership and have your photo carrying it's acquisition conditions (onwership, date/time, location, notes) regardless of the platform you post it on, even on printed media. You can choose which attributes of the photos are publicly visible.
3 - You can add notes to your photos. Your photos are no longer static but now have a dynamic content (notes) which can be edited at any point in time, so that your photo can carry with it any message you wish even after getting posted/printed.
4 - Unlike with EXIF data, the onwership, date/time, location carried by the encoded watermark on the photo, are unmodifiable. So, for example, you could take a photo today and accidentally come across it 20 years later and you will still be able to tell with certainty the date and time it was shot, the location and notes you'd added to it.
5 - You can look up reference codes of other people's photos and find out about their conditions of acquisition.
Users can log in to the app using their Facebook credentials. Members of the public can freely access the platform and look up photo reference codes on the infoStain website (www.infostain.com).
