The App mainly have the Following Features Below
1. Replay the original audio of the text
The main view has a list. When user tap the "Start" button at the bottom of the view, original voice will start to play from the start time.
However, If the user want to start play from a certain place in the list, he or she can tap the certain line in the list. And the original text audio will start play from the certain line.
2. Show the detail of the certain line.
A "Follow" button is placed at the bottom of the main view. By tapping that button, a popup will show up and the text of the line that the user selected will be displayed on the top the popup view.
By tapping the text on the popup view, user can hear the original audio of the text.
3. Record His or Her own voice to compare the intonation with the original audio.
A "record" button is placed at the right bottom on the popup view. By tapping that button, record process will start, and by tapping that button again, record process will be finished, and user's voice will be recorded.
(The voice will not be send to the server through internet, the voice file will only be stored on user's phone).
After recording, the "waiting" button on the left side of the pop up view will changes. It will show the duration of the record voice. For example when user recorded a 3.56 seconds voice. The duration button will shows "3.56s".
By tapping "duration" button, user can replay his or her own voice. This will let the user be able to compare his or her own voice with the original text audio. This feature is designed to let the users to find out the difference between their intonation with native speakers' intonation.
Currently We have placed 20 lesson into the app. By swiping his finger from left to right to open the side menu. User can change the lesson by tapping the item of list in the side menu.
