Taal means Rhythm and Matra means Beats. The name Taal Matra signifies Rhythm & Beats,
From ancient time human beings have discovered hand as a great tool or instrument for accompanying beats to produce rhythm for a song or musical instrument. This app brings the same concept on android devices with an intutive interface of human hand.
Taal is the term used in Indian classical music (Sanskrit tāla, literally a "clap") for the rhythmic pattern of any composition and for the entire subject of rhythm, roughly corresponding to metre in Western music.
A Taal is a regular, repeating rhythmic phrase, particularly as rendered on a percussive instrument with an ebb and flow of various intonations represented as sequence of drum-syllables. This aspect of Taal is reprsented by option of 'Tabla'.
Taal is also used accompanying various dance forms. One such dance form is represented in this app named as 'Kathak'.
