Tagore educational society was established in the year 1974 and doing Yeoman Service in the field of education with the following objectives
To establish and manage educational institutions.
To establish industrial institutions under various trades.
To run on – formal and Adult education schemes.
Tagore Higher Secondary School is the first English medium established at Tindivanam Taluk in 1974 and second school at south Arcot District.
It is Entering 40th year of Educational Service.
It is the oldest English Medium Higher Secondary School following the C.B.S.E Syllabus and Affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi Established on 26-5-1974 at Tindivanam Tamilnadu.
It is the 1st school in south Arcot District to introduced computer science as one of the subject from kg to 10 std since 1986.
It is the 1st School introduced grade system in monthly evaluation and cumulative record was introduced in the year 1976 to asset various skills of the students.
Their System of Evaluation is now only introduced in the C.B.S.E Board and State Board as Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation System.
This school introduced activity oriented education in 1940 but the state Government has now only introduced Activity Learning method in the primary class.
This school started publishing the following monthly Magazines to develop the reading skill among the students.
"Tagore Pupils review", RM registered magazine was published in 1976 to 1980. Another Journal "Tagore educational news" Published Since 1999 to till date it's a bilingual language (Tamil and English) magazine.
This book is now lubricated to all Government libraries, school and colleges and students are also supplied every month.

The Tagore Higher Secondary School Management Established a college of education for Women in the name of Dr.Rajabather Tagore Women teacher training college of Education at Kilgudalorei. Tindivanam. So far it has produced 700 graduate teachers.
This school conducted 21 days summer training course for Nursery and primary class teachers of several schools from south Arcot District in 1976-77. It landed in training the teachers in 1976 and continues to give training for teachers till date.
