The York walls festival is an annual celebration of the famous walls of York - the only place in the world where you can still see Roman, Saxon, Viking, Medieval and Tudor defences all in one place. At around 2 miles long they offer some of the best views of the city and a must see when visiting York.
The fascinating history of the walls are now brought to life with this multimedia application offering 3d models, time traveller computer reconstructions and audio, split into 2 separate tours (one for Children and one for adults) covering two distinct parts of the walls.
The application is completely free and also includes places to stop off for food and drink along the way, and has been developed in conjunction with yorgame, a computer game recreating life in medieval York.
