Sanapsis is an iPad application for professional Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) to be used with adult patients who have acquired language difficulties stemming from neurological impairments.
Sanapsis transforms your iPad into a library of various therapy exercises and materials. It provides therapy solutions for language skills addressing all language faculties, giving the therapist examples and ideas of how to proceed in the therapy process. There is a wide selection of exercises and ideas to choose from, and the exercises also vary in their level of difficulty. Each exercise has accompanying instructions for use and notes on what to observe during the task.
Sanapsis can be used with patients who have many issues, including aphasia due to stroke, TBI, brain tumors, Alzheimer's and other dementias, and other neurological impairments.
Sanapsis is designed to be used in therapy, in cooperation with the patient and the SLP in charge of the rehabilitation process. The application is designed to support and activate this interaction, thus promoting genuine communication. It is not to be used independently.
