This In The Footsteps Battle of Crécy self-guided battlefield tour app has been designed to inform you about the battle and the events leading up to it as well as guiding you around the most pertinent and important battlefield locations. For each location of the self-guided tour you are given:
1. The GPS co-ordinates at the top of the page to aid navigation around the battlefield sites using a Satnav. The gps co-ordinates are expressed in decimal degrees as this is the most widely used method.
2. Directions of how to get to the location and where best to stand.
3. A narrative that explains why that location is important to the story of The Battle of Crécy as a means of bringing the battlefield to life.
We believe that the order in which the locations are listed is the best order for you to follow, though you are of course at liberty to traverse the battlefield in the order you desire.
