The app allows you to choose between two languages: English and French.
A loan is defined by a number of parameters. You provide some of them and the application calculates the others.
You can then save the loan for later reference.
You can view the amortization schedule or export it in either text or spreadsheet format.
If you are the borrower, one possible use of the application is to check the amounts, and particularly the interest rates, advanced by the lender. To do this, you need to know the definitions of the terms being used:
There are two ways to calculate an annual interest rate; the proportional method and the equivalent method.
The nominal rate is the proportional rate (generally excluding fee, excluding insurance).
The actuarial rate is the equivalent rate (generally including fee, including insurance).
To make things clear, when the application displays or asks for the value of a rate, this rate is explicitly defined (for example equivalent rate, including fee, excluding insurance).
