Have you ever been to a jam session, being sure that you knew a lot of tunes by heart, and then realise that you didn't actually know them that well ?
Or have you ever struggled to find someone to find someone to play with when you were in the mood ? Well not anymore with KnivesJam. It contains a jazz trio (drummer, double bassist and pianist) who can accompany you with on any chord progression, at the tempo you choose, in any key and as long as you'd like to, without getting bored or judging you. It can play four styles (not much, but it's still version 1.0): swing jazz, bossa nova, fusion and reggae. But let me present the trio:
- Roger, the bassist. Plays amazing walking bass lines, that you won't believe come from a machine. Very groovy in all situations.
- Max, the drummer. "At least a guy who's neither rushing nor dragging" (The bad guy from Whiplash, about Max). Plays simple but efficient patterns. He has an amazing inner clock.
- Jonny, pianist. Always find the most complex and beautiful voicings, no matter the chord.
Use KnivesJam to work on jazz standards, to find new ideas for your solos for instance. You can of course mute any instrument to work on the accompaniment, or the bass. Use it also if you have an idea of chord progression and want to hear quickly how it sounds.
You can add a new song from scratch, adding all the chords one by one, and then share it with your friends.
Transpose any of your songs in the key you want.
