WOLO is a platform created to offer High School Education and Skills Training. WOLO is a Ga language word which means “Book.” The project is part of an irresistible digital revolution which is taking place in Africa. Many countries have worked hard to improve access to basic education, but there is still significant work to be done. The quality and of education also remains an issue but we believe technology could be part of the solution.
Wolo offers a convenient, flexible and affordable learning experience. Students are able to learn anywhere, anytime and at their own pace!
Wolo offers High School education in all Core subjects, Science, General Arts, and Business. It is currently running 90 classes. The tuition provided on Wolo covers the annual academic syllabus. Lessons taught are designed to prepare students for the WASSCE.
Content: Lessons are presented as Videos with notes and interactive quizzes. Every subject has a forum for students interaction and they are moderated by subject teachers.
Teachers: Teachers are accomplished, experienced and examiners. They are selected from some of the best institutions. These include Achimota School, Legon Presec, Accra Academy, St Mary's, Mfantsipim, St Augustine's, Holy Child, University Practice(UCC), Ghana National College and more.
Our Skills Training program is designed to create jobs, economic opportunities, and livelihoods. Content for these courses is presented by experts from diverse fields of studies.
The Project is designed to work with Government, International, and local Development agencies, NGOs, Companies, Educational Institutions, Sponsors, etc, to create specific programs to assist in our entrepreneurship programs.
Wolo also facilitates mentorship, apprenticeship, and industrial placement programs.
The platform also offers in-service training for staff of corporate organizations or professional bodies. These training programs are developed in partnership with these institutions through webinars or as video on demand (VOD) files.
