Based on the puzzle game shows Des Chiffres et Des Lettres (France) and Countdown (England), players attempt to find the longest word from random letters, and the best calculations to reach a target number by adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing random numbers.
Given ten random letters, can you find the longest word in thirty seconds?
Given six random numbers and a random three-digit target, can you find a sequence of arithmetic operations using the six numbers to achieve the target?
Numbers and Letters is for 1 or 2 players. The game is playable completely offline via pass-and-play. Online play is also available to match wits with opponents and friends in real-time or in correspondence mode (i.e. receive notifications when it is your turn and continue games at your leisure).
All puzzles reveal the best solutions at the end of every round, with the option of looking up words in the dictionary for Longest Word puzzles. A great tool for improving your vocabulary. Numbers and Letters is a must have for a serious word game player to improve their word power, and is an excellent tool for improving your mental math skills.
