UmieAktif women social empowerment entrepreneur is basically a women empowerment entrepreneur social business project which is founded by Nik Sin Bin Nik Man and together with his two friends as a Co-founder, Lawrence Anak Abus, and Syed Azmi Alhabshi. This entrepreneur project has started since October 2015. The objective of this entrepreneur project is to empower women, especially from the underprivileged community. Since it started UmieAktif has successfully produced their own handmade brand which is TanganKechil. The handmade products include Plush with Chain, 3D Teddy, Cushion runner, Table runner, Plate coaster, Pouch bag, and T-shirt. The activities include UmieAktif Chowkit’s class, UmieAktif 2.0’s class, English class with Teacher Sheena, Community Outreach Programme (Sewing Class with rumah Sri Puteri, Cheras - Awareness Centre for socially challenged and pregnant under-aged teenagers, Sewing Class with Pusat Ilmu Muslim Aid (PIMA), Ampang - Alternative Education Centre for Runaway children, UmieAktif’s suspended classroom di Skool of Art, Petaling Jaya - Class sponsored by dana awam for single mother and underprivileged group, Sewing Class with Malaysia Federation of The Deaf (MFD), Puchong - Education and skill center for special group with hearing impaired issue, and Bazaar (Art for Grabs (few places), Festival and Art bazaar, Empowering women Bazaar, The Association of British Women in Malaysia Bazaar, Renaissance Hotel, Exhibition and Craft Sales in National Craft Day, IACON,Jaya33 Weekend Bazaar, Desa Parkcity Weekend Bazaar, The Growing Tree’s Concert Day, Partiii Bazaar, DPAC, and Kedai Bikin, Bangsar).
UmieAktif women social empowerment entrepreneur consists of two groups which are UmieAktif Chowkit and UmieAktif 2.0 (Ampang).
UmieAktif women social empowerment entrepreneur Chowkit is a group of talented Chowkit mothers who produces unique handmade products in order to become entrepreneurs. The sale of these handmade products will help them in their daily expenses as well as their children’s education.
UmieAktif women social empowerment entrepreneur 2.0 (Ampang), a brainchild of UmieAktif women social empowerment entrepreneur is based at Kampung Melayu Ampang. This group comprises of mothers from Ampang area. UmieAktif 2.0 is an innovative platform for them to learn about entrepreneurship and produce their own handmade products.
