Pt. Lalit Mohan Sharma Government Post-Graduate College, Rishikesh, the first autonomous college of Uttarakhand, affiliated to the HNB Garhwal University, is one of the best academic institutions of the newly created Uttarakhand State.
It was started by the state Government of undivided Uttar Pradesh in July 1973 and is spread over 49 acres. It is one of the institutions catering to the academic need of western part of Uttarakhand.
