This app provides a tool for doctors working in the Emergency Department, or on the orthopaedic on-call, at Buckinghamshire Hospitals. It presents locally-developed guidelines regarding important findings to document from the history and examination of orthopaedic patients, and admission guidelines to be used with senior advice and clinical judgement. The presented conditions are divided into four coloured streams: red stream, orthopaedic emergencies requiring discussion with the orthopaedic Registrar, and possibly referral to a tertiary centre; amber stream, orthopaedic conditions which will require discussion with the orthopaedic SHO on-call, and may require admission; green stream, orthopaedic conditions which can be managed in ED and referred to the Virtual Fracture Clinic; blue stream, conditions which are not typically managed by the orthopaedic service. Guidelines can be filtered by stream, or by body part by clicking areas on the skeleton.
