The Vehicle Count Android Application can be used in Traffic Engineering for Traffic data collection and road safety. These application can be used for the purpose of taking traffic survey. Traffic data are needed in research, planning, designing and regulation phases of traffic engineering and are also used in established priorities and schedules of traffic improvements.
The Vehicle Count Application is used for traffic count. In Vehicle Count, surveyor can specify his name and location then can choose set of vehicles to be included in traffic survey. Real time display of the vehicle count shown at the top of each vehicle type as the user taking survey. The counter stops when surveyor stop survey and on exit, a text file is created on the phone's SD card with vehicle types and their corresponding time.
